American Idol season 24 welcomed ba host Ryan Seacrest, along with judges Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan.
American Idol season 24 featured four audition episodes, all of which took place at Belmont University's Fisher Center for the Performing Arts in Nashville, Tennessee. After the "Idol Across America" remote auditions, some contestants advanced to audition for Lionel, Carrie, and Luke in person in Nashville. Hollywood Week also relocated to Nashville, and is now called Hollywood Week in Music City.
After American Idol season 24 Hollywood Week in Music City, the Top 30 contestants traveled to Disney's Aulani Resort & Spa in Hawaii for two rounds of competition. The first round, called the 'Ohana Round, is new for this season, and will feature the Top 30 contestants. It will air on March 9, after two weeks of Hollywood Week in Music City on February 23 and March 2. After that, the traditional Hawaii Week round will begin with the Top 20. MJ's Big Blog revealed the American Idol season 24 Top 30 contestants, which were compiled through trusted sources. However, the site warned that some of the names could be wrong, although they felt certain that the vast majority of the names were correct. The Top 30 consists of Abayomi, Bella Emry, Braden Rumfelt, Brenna Brigman, Brianna Yancey, Brooks, Bryant Thomas, Chloe Lauren, Chris Tungseth, and Daniel Stallworth.

The American Idol season 24 'Ohana Round is a brand-new phase of the competition, which takes place in Hawaii. According to an ABC press release, the 'Ohana Round was filmed at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii. It was designed to be the ultimate focus group, narrowing down the Top 30 to the Top 20 before America's Vote.
In the 'Ohana Round, the Top 30 American Idol season 24 contestants will perform for industry tastemakers, who collectively have nearly 149 million followers. They include Kaniyia Brown & Terry McCaskill (social media personality duo), Sasha Farber (dancer and choreographer), Anthony Gargiula (artist and music creator), Loren Gray (singer and actress), Shirley Halperin (co-editor-in-chief of Rolling Stone), Cheryl Porter (singer and vocal coach phenomenon), and Kelly Sutton (country music personality and Grand Ole Opry announcer).
In addition, the contestants will sing for their peers, family members, and friends. They will then be narrowed down from the Top 30 to the Top 20, and compete for America's Vote.
