Former Oregon Ducks quarterback Dillon Gabriel is off to a bit of a slow start in the NFL thanks in large part to the team he plays for: the Cleveland Browns.

To make matters worse for Gabriel, the Browns have since turned to former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders as the season winds down which paints an even grimmer picture about what Gabriel's future may look like.
As College Football HQ's Nick Merriam essentially put it in a recent piece ranking 15 different NFL Draft classes, Gabriel is serviceable at best.
"Dillon Gabriel looks like he could stick in the league for a while as a game-managing backup quarterback," Merriam wrote.

For Gabriel, though, this is as much a learning experience for him as it is a springboard into the future.
Just recall his "entertainers" comment from August. According to him, a line was crossed and he wants to focus on football.
"First off, I am all about our team, you know what I mean?" Gabriel told reporters then. "And each other. I would never make that, and I've said it before, that's why it's interesting. But, for me, I've explained it. Entertainers are you all [in the media]. Competitor, that's what I am and all my teammates, and we both have jobs to do. So that's it."

Should Gabriel not see the field again this season, he would finish with seven touchdowns alongside two interceptions.
