Two leading Compass teams based in Seattle and Denver have moved to other brokerages, according to separate announcements on Wednesday. The teams represent a combined 2025 sales volume of $270 million.

The new year shuffle continues, this time with two major Compass teams based in Seattle and Denver moving their ranks to new brokerages.

The Real Brokerage snagged the NK Team, a 34-agent team that RealTrends ranked as Seattle’s top-selling Large Team from 2021 to 2023 and the No. 4 Mega Team in 2024. The team has closed $1.4 billion in sales since 2017, with the yearly sales volume hovering around $230 million. The team will rebrand as the McConnell Group as part of the move.

Before Compass, team founder Sean McConnell served as a strategic account executive at Zillow and spent two years as a broker at Keller Williams.

“Choosing a brokerage is a consequential decision, especially for a mega team that has worked hard to build a trusted reputation and a business designed to last,” McConnell said in a prepared statement. “We were intentional about finding a platform that would allow us to continue growing while maintaining ownership of our brand, our culture, and our long-term vision.”

The Real Brokerage CEO Tamir Poleg said McConnell and his wife, Nicolette, who serves as the team’s managing broker and director of operations, have “built an exceptional organization” that is a perfect fit for the Real network.

“Sean, Nicolette, and the entire McConnell Group have built an exceptional organization rooted in systems, collaboration, and agent development,” Poleg said. “We’re proud to welcome them to Real and look forward to supporting their continued growth.”

Meanwhile, in Denver, The Sandoval Team has moved to REMAX Advantage, the No. 1 REMAX team in the world since 2021.

The Sandoval Team has been with Compass since 2023, with its six agents closing nearly $50 million in sales last year. The team’s leaders, Michael and Ashley Sandoval, have more than two decades of combined real estate experience, with stints at ERA, eXp and several other local brands.
