The Spartans were led by Anthony Romani, who had his first career hat trick in the game. Porter Martone, Daniel Russell and Owen West also got goals for the team in the winning effort.
It was a chippy game, that saw both Colin Ralph for MSU and Gavin McKenna for PSU get ejected with five minute major penalties and game misconducts.
The two teams will square back off tomorrow, inside of Beaver Stadium for an outdoor game against each other, finishing the weekend series.
