Try something different:
Show me the facts
Explain it like I’m 5
Give me a lighthearted recap
NotebookLM is one of those tools that is so good, it's hard to understand why it doesn't get more exposure. And while it's perfect for students that need to learn a ton of information in the most efficient way possible, it can also be used for other things as well, like keeping a journal or having it do a lot of the heavy lifting if you're doing some research as a journalist.
Perhaps one of the NotebookLM's most powerful features is Video Overviews. This feature generates an easy-to-consume video of the content based on the notebook that you select. It's great for learning complex topics, and it's especially useful for visual learners. And while it's a powerful feature, it's never found its way to an Android device until now.
A welcome change
The change was spotted by 9to5Google, shedding light on the new update available to those using NotebookLM on mobile. You can now access Video Overviews and can accomplish this by heading into the Studio section of the app. In addition, infographics can now be customized, with settings for landscape and horizontal orientation, along with a square setting.
The news outlet also highlights that Slide Deck customization should also be a thing at some point, but that hasn't been rolled out as of now. While this update is now live, it may not be available on your device quite yet. However, this is a wide release, which means you should see it show up at some point very soon.
It's time to give it a try
While it might not be useful for you to use it as is, we have had huge success when pairing it with YouTube. You can even have it create data tables for you, which can save you a huge amount of time if you're sorting through a ton of data.

Google promotes NotebookLM as a "research assistant," which means you can just have a casual conversation with it, and it'll help you out every step of the way. Although NotebookLM might not sound like something you would use, we recommend at least giving it a shot.
