The completely free-to-watch streaming service Tubi quietly has some great shows and movies available to stream on its platform. With nearly 100 million subscribers, Tubi is increasingly becoming a low-budget way for cord-cutters to watch outstanding content.
While Tubi has dozens of outstanding movies to choose from, such as Prey, Men in Black, and more, the streaming service also produces its own original content, as well as hosts licensed classic TV shows. These three fan-favorites are among the best that Tubi has to offer.
Scandal
Developed by Shonda Rhimes, Scandal is a fantastic political thriller series starring the phenomenal Kerry Washington. While the series is available to stream on Hulu and Netflix for paid subscribers, it's also available for free on Tubi right now.
Scandal premiered in 2012 and ran for seven seasons before concluding in 2018. The series follows a former White House Communications Director, Olivia Pope, who starts her own crisis management firm. Wildly addictive from beginning to end, and winner of 2 Emmys, this is a standout show in Tubi's streaming vault.
American Gods
American Gods is another great modern classic show, completely free to binge on Tubi. Consisting of three seasons and 26 episodes, American Gods stars Ian McShane, Emily Browning, Ricky Whittle, and more, based on the novel by Neil Gaiman.
American Gods is a Starz original series that ran from 2017 to 2021 and earned a Rotten Tomatoes score of 76%. It follows an ex-convict named Shadow Moon, played by Whittle, who is devastated by the sudden death of his wife. On the plane to the funeral, he meets a mysterious man named Mr. Wednesday (McShane) who changes his life forever.
The Following
The Following has a strong case for being the best show available to binge for free on Tubi. It stars Kevin Bacon as a retired FBI agent, Ryan Hardy, who rejoins the force after a serial killer he helped put away for life, Joe Carroll (played by James Purefoy), escapes and ignites a cult following.
